Kem One enters receivership; Arkema denies responsibility

Vinyls company Kem One (Lyon, France) has, as expected, been put into receivership by the commercial court of Lyon. The move follows a filing for insolvency with the court by Kem One's owner, US financier Gary Klesch, on 26 March. The receivership ruling covers Kem One SAS, which includes Kem One's Lyon headquarters and the upstream chlor-alkali and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) activities of the company at seven production sites in France. The sites are at Balan, Berre, Fos, Lavéra, Saint-Auban, Saint-Fons, and Vauvert. Kem One SAS has 1,300 employees...
