Ineos, Solvay submit PVC JV clearance application to European Commission

Ineos and Solvay have submitted an application for competition clearance to the European Commission for the companies' planned 50-50 vinyls joint venture, the companies announced today. The jv, announced last May, would combine Ineos and Solvay's respective polyvinyl chloride (PVC) assets in Europe, as previously reported by CW. The commission will consider the application and determine whether the jv can proceed as proposed.
