Industrie Generali Acquires Vinyls Italia Operations at Ravenna

Industrie Generali (IG; Sammarate, Italy), a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compound producer and plastics distributor, has acquired Vinyls Italia’s PVC production facilities at Ravenna, Italy. Vinyls Italia, which also has polymer and vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) operations at Porto Marghera and Porto Torres, has been in special administration since early 2009, soon after it was acquired by local businessman Fiorenzo Sartor from Ineos.
