Georgia Gulf Permanently Idles Sarnia Plant

Georgia Gulf says it will permanently close its 450-million lbs/year polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin facility at Sarnia, ON due to "continued weakening" in the housing and construction markets. The company had idled the plant earlier this month because of weak demand.
