Chinese engineering firm awarded PVC plant contract in Uzbekistan

China CAMS Engineering, (Beijing), a subsidiary of China National Machinery Industry Corp., has been awarded a contract to build a petrochemical complex for Navoiazot (Navoi, Uzbekistan). Navoiazot forms part of Uzkimyosanoat (Tashkent, Uzbekistan). The $439.8-million contract was signed earlier this week by China CAMS chairman Luo Yan and Navoiazot chairman Djamalov Sobir Djajalovich.   The Chinese contractor will be responsible for constructing plants at Navoi designed to produce 100,000 m.t./year of polyvinyl chloride; 75,000 m.t./year of caustic...
