Styrolution to mothball PS plant in the US, strengthen specialties

Styrolution, the equally owned styrenics joint venture of BASF and Ineos, announced today that it plans to rationalize polystyrene (PS) capacity in North America. Styrolution also plans to accelerate growth in styrenic specialties through an expansion of its offering for high-performance transparent styrenics by providing local supply in Europe, the Mideast, and Africa (EMEA).
