Markets :: Plastics :: Polystyrene Ineos Nova to Permanantly Close Belpre PS Plant3:18 PM MST | November 30, 2007 | CW Editorial Staff Ineos Nova says it will permanently close its 220 million lbs/year polystyrene (PS) plant at Belpre, Ohio by January 31, 2008. The company also says that it will transfer production of its NAS and ZYLAR specialty resins to its Indian Orchard, MA site. “Shutting down the Belpre site removes additional high-cost capacity and will enable us to further consolidate production at the company’s most efficient manufacturing sites,” says Kevin McQuade, CEO of Ineos Nova.
