Ineos Nova Raises PS Prices

Ineos Nova, a joint venture of Ineos and Nova Chemicals, says it will increase European polystyrene (PS) prices by €30/ton, effective May 1. The increases are necessary to restore an acceptable margin as raw material and utilities costs continue to rise, the company says. An additional €10/ton premium is added to high-impact PS. Butadiene contracts in Europe settled up €45/m.t.,s to €980/m.t., for the second quarter, increasing the price of rubbers used in the production of high-impact PS, Ineos Nova...
