Dow Announces Further European PS Cuts

Dow Europe says it temporarily stopped production of all polystyrene (PS) grades at its 50,000-m.t./year Terneuzen, the Netherlands plant last week. Dow idled one of its two styrene units at Terneuzen last month, reducing the company’s European styrene production capacity by 40% (CW, June 30, p. 6).
