Markets :: Plastics :: Polystyrene BASF Ups EPS Capacity in Germany10:10 AM MDT | November 3, 2011 | Alex Scott BASF plans to increase the production capacity of Neopor, its expandable polystyrene (EPS) insulation material at facilities in Ludwigshafen by about 60,000 m.t./year from December 2011 and is set to achieve the full capacity by October 2013 at the latest. The gray looking Neopor is an advanced version of the company’s Styropor EPS. Neopor obtains its color and performance through the addition of graphite particles; Neopor offers an improved insulating performance of up to 20% over white EPS, the company says.
