Uhde and Basell Confirm Egyptian Propylene-PP Unit

Uhde and Basell have confirmed their contributions to a previously announced propane dehydrogenation and polypropylene (PP) complex at Port Said, Egypt (CW, Nov. 29/Dec. 6, 2006, p. 14). Egyptian Propylene and Polypropylene Co. (EPPC; Cairo) will own and operate the $680-million complex, which is due to start production in late 2009.
