Sunoco to Close Polypropylene Plant

Sunoco Chemicals says it will permanently close its polypropylene (PP) facility at Bayport, TX by April 30. The plant has capacity to produce 400 million lbs/year of PP. “The decision to close the facility was made after an extensive review, which demonstrated that the plant is no longer financially viable,” says Bruce D.
