Markets :: Plastics :: Polypropylene Sibur Acquires the Remaining 50% of Russian PP Film Producer7:29 AM MDT | April 11, 2012 | Sotirios Frantzanas Sibur (Moscow) says it has acquired the remaining 50% of the chartered capital of Biaxplen LLC (Moscow), one of Russia's largest manufacturers of biaxially oriented polypropylene film (BOPP), and that it has become the single owner of the company. Sibur says it had owned 50% of Biaxplen LLC since late 2009. Biaxplen LLC's production facilities consist of three plants located in the Nizhny Novgorod, Kursk, and Moscow regions of Russia, Sibur says.
