Sahara and LyondellBasell Start up PP Complex at Al Jubail

Al-Waha Petrochemical Co., a joint venture in which Sahara Petrochemicals Co. has 75% and LyondellBasell 25%, has started up its new propane dehydrogenation and polypropylene (PP) complex at Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The complex uses LyondellBasell's Spherizone technology to produce 450,000 m.t./year of PP. It is the largest unit to date to use the Spherizone process.
