LyondellBasell to Close Texas PP Compounding Unit

LyondellBasell says it will cease polypropylene (PP) compounding operations at Grand Prairie, TX and shift production to its Mansfield, TX site, and to the Altamira, Mexico site of its Indelpro joint venture with Alpek, which is scheduled to bring a PP resin plant online later this year. The company says it will also move its PP sales, marketing, and technology activities at Auburn Hills, MI to Lansing, MI. Both sites are scheduled to close by the end of this year.
