LME Continues With Plastics Futures Contracts

The London Metal Exchange (LME; London) says it will continue to develop its plastics futures contracts and trading exchange for polypropylene (PP) and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE). “We’re still trying to build the futures exchange on the LME, but it’s a long term process,” Robert Sheldon, business manager/plastics at LME told CW at the International Plastics Showcase  (NPE) held this week in Chicago. “A lot of what we’re seeing is off-exchange activity using the monthly average LME pricing.
