Ineos Shutters Two U.S. Polypropylene Units

Ineos Olefins & Polymers USA says it intends to shut down two polypropylene (PP) bulk phase units at La Porte, TX by early 2009. The closure represents about 520 million lb/year of homopolymer and random copolymer capacity, the company says. One of the two lines will close by year-end, and the other by the end of January.
