Markets :: Plastics :: Polypropylene Gail Confirms Assam Cracker Award to Lummus11:33 PM MDT | May 28, 2009 | Natasha Alperowicz Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer, a joint venture between Gail India, Oil India, Numaligarh Refinery, and the government of Assam, has confirmed the award of contracts for license and basic engineering to Lummus Technology, a unit of CB&I (The Woodlands, TX) for two of its previously announced plants, planned at Lepetkata, Assam, India. Lummus will provide its process for a 220,000-m.t./year ethylene and 60,000 m.t./year propylene plant.
