Markets :: Plastics :: Polypropylene Chinese Firm Selects Unipol PP Process11:20 PM MDT | August 25, 2009 | Natasha Alperowicz Dow Chemical says it has licensed its Unipol polypropylene (PP) technology to Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemical Co. (Sinochem Quanzhou). The process will be used in a 200,000-m.t./year PP plant at Quanzhou, Fujian Province, China. Completion is expected in 2011. The plant will produce mainly homopolymer PP. It will be the sixth plant in China to use the Unipol PP process. Sinochem Quanzhou, incorporated three years ago, is builging an oil refinery at Quanzhou with capacity for 240,000 bbl/day, due for completion in 211. It will process crude oil imported from Saudi...
