Markets :: Plastics :: Polypropylene Chinese Coal-to-Chemicals Firm Licenses Unipol Polyethylene Technology2:51 AM MDT | November 3, 2010 | Natasha Alperowicz Univation Technologies has licensed its Unipol polyethylene technology to PuCheng Clean Energy Chemical Co. The process will be used in a 300,000-m.t./year high- to linear low-density polyethylene plant, which will be built at Weinan, China. It will form part of one of China's largest coal-based chemicals production complexes. Ethylene feedstock will come from a combination of coal-to-methanol and methanol-to-olefins plants. Completion is expected in 2013. Univation says it plans to open a UCAT high productivity catalyst manufacturing plant in Jiangsu Province...
