Borouge Brings Online Second Petrochemical Complex

Borouge has begun commissioning its Borouge 2 petrochemical complex at Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, senior sources at Borouge tell CW. The Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (Adnoc) has begun supplying ethane to the 1.5 million m.t./year ethylene plant, which will, in turn be supplied to the 540,000 m.t./year Borstar process polyethylene unit, due to start production in early July. The next unit in the sequence of commissioning will be the olefins conversion unit. This unit will produce 752,000 m.t./year of propylene, which together with 50,000 m.t./year of propylene delivered...
