Markets :: Plastics :: Polypropylene Borealis posts fourth-quarter profit up 72%7:26 AM MST | February 25, 2013 | Francinia Protti-Alvarez Borealis realized a €100-million ($132 million) net profit during the fourth quarter of 2012, up more than 72% on the same period the previous year, the company announced today. Net sales increased by about 18%, from €1.59 billion in the fourth quarter of 2011 to €1.87 in the same period of 2012. Full-year net profit decreased by just over 5%, from €507 million in 2011 to €480 million in 2012, despite higher sales.
