(TAYF) and Albemarle Corp. have signed an agreement to form a 50-50 joint ventrue, Saudi Organometallic Chemicals Co. (SOCC), to build a world-scale organometallics production facility at Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia, the first such plant in the Middle East. Initial estimates put the investment cost at approximately SR300 million ($80 million). The new facility will have capacity to produce 6,000 m.t./year of tri-ethyl aluminum equivalents.
