Sibur opens BOPP plant at Tomsk, will sell on Russian and export markets

Sibur today inaugurated a new biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film manufacturing facility at its Biaxplen subsidiary at Tomsk, Russia, the company has announced. The opening ceremony was attended by Sergey Zhvachkin, governor of the Tomsk region; Leonid Mikhelson, chairman of Sibur Holding; Dmitry Konov, CEO of Sibur; and other company managers.   The new plant is located within Sibur’s Tomskneftekhim complex, which is one of the company’s main polypropylene suppliers.
