Markets :: Plastics :: Polypropylene Union Carbide Signs License Agreement for PP Plant in Inner Mongolia11:26 AM MDT | September 11, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz Jiutai Energy (Zhungeer, Inner Mongolia, China), a subsidiary of Jiutai Energy Group (Beijing), has signed a license agreement with Union Carbide Chemicals & Plastics Technology, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dow, for a methanol-to-olefins-based polypropylene (PP) plant. Jiutai will use the Unipol PP technology to produce 350,000 m.t./year of PP. It will be designed to produce a full range of PP, including homopolymers, as well as random and impact copolymers.
