Markets :: Plastics :: Polypropylene Al Waha Propane Dehydro and PP Complex are Offline for Modifications7:42 AM MDT | June 3, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz Sahara Petrochemicals (Riyadh) has announced that its Al Waha Petrochemicals joint venture with LyondellBasell was taken offline on June 1 for a scheduled maintenance turnaround and to carry out modification in the propane dehydrogenation (PDH) plant at Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The Al Waha complex, in which Sahara has 75% and LyondellBasell 25%, has been dogged by problems. It consists of a UOP Oleflex process PDH facility with capacity for 467,000 m.t./year of propylene and a LyondellBasell Spherizone process polypropylene (PP) plant designed to produce 450,000...
