European Producers Increase Polyethylene Prices

Borealis says it will increase the price of polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene in Europe by €60/m.t., on June 1. “This increase is necessary to preserve sustainable margins,” says Lorenzo Delorenzi, executive v.p./polyolefins at Borealis. Dow Europe also says it will increase the price for all grades of low-density PE, linear low-density PE, and high-density PE resins by €50/m.t. in Europe, the Mideast, Africa and India on June 1 or as contracts allow.
