Sibur to debottleneck polyolefins capacity at Tomsk

Sibur (Moscow) has announced a project to debottleneck and upgrade polyolefins capacity at the company's Tomsk, Russia, site. Polypropylene (PP) capacity will increase by 10,000 m.t./year, to 140,000 m.t./year, and low-density polyethylene (LDPE) capacity will rise by 30,000 m.t./year, to 270,000 m.t./year. Tomskneftekhim, a Sibur subsidiary, operates the Tomsk site. Maire Tecnimont will develop front-end engineering and design documentation for the LDPE expansion.
