Markets :: Plastics :: Polyethylene Polymers Sales Rise10:46 AM MDT | July 30, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff U.S. sales and captive use of polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) rose 0.2% for the first 10 months of the year, to 69.3 billion, ACC says. Year-to-date production was up 3.5%, to 70.1 billion lbs. PE sales eked out a 1% gain for the period, to 31.4 billion lbs, but sales and captive use of all other polymers fell from the year-ago period. For the first 10 months, PP sales slipped 0.2%, to 15.3 billion; PS sales dropped 2%, to 5.3 billion lbs; PVC sales dipped 1.5%, to 12.9 billion, ACC...
