PetroChina Selects Basell Process for Two HDPE Units

Basell says that its Hostalen technology has been selected by PetroChina for two high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plants that are scheduled to start operating in 2011. The HDPE plants will be built at Chengdu, China with capacity for 300,000 m.t./year and Fushun, China with capacity for 350,000 m.t./year.
