LyondellBasell to Close LDPE Plant in the U.K.

LyondellBasell says it will close a 185,000-m.t./year low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plant at Carrington, U.K. by the end of this year. The company will focus its LDPE production activities in Europe at Wesseling, Germany and at the company's world-scale plant located at Berre, France. Berre has capacity for more than 300,000 m.t./year of LDPE.
