LyondellBasell Starts up HDPE Plant

LyondellBasell says it has started up a 320,000-m.t./year high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plant at Münchsmünster, Germany. The plant is based on LyondellBasell’s Hostalen ACP process, which makes resins for applications including thin-wall packaging, large blow molding, and textiles for packaging. The plant enhances LyondellBasell’s flexibility to supply advanced HDPE grades to customers in Europe and the Mideast.
