KBR awarded FEED contract for Ineos-Sasol Gulf Coast HDPE plant

KBR has been awarded a front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract by Ineos’s olefins and polymers USA segment to build “one of the largest grassroots” high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plants in North America, KBR announced today. The facility, a joint venture between Sasol and Ineos that was announced last week, will produce 470,000 m.t./year of bimodal HDPE using Ineos’s Innovene S process technology.
