Dow Completes Pilot Project for Turning Recycled Plastic into Energy

Dow Chemical says it has completed a pilot test for turning recycled plastic into energy. The pilot test found that 96% of available energy was recovered after incinerating 578 lbs of used linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) in a kiln at one of Dow’s waste treatment facilities.
