The study will look at ways the to achieve maximum revenue from the production of polyethylene, polypropylene and aromatics from ethane, LPG, and naphtha feeds, Mustang says. Feedstock would come from Ecopetrol’s refineries at Barrancabermeja and Cartagena as well as the Cusiana gas fields. The complex would be built at Ecopetrol’s Cusiana or Cartagena site, Mustang says.
