CPChem gets greenlight for Cedar Bayou normal alpha-olefins

Chevron Phillips Chemical (CPChem; The Woodlands, TX) plans to begin a 100,000-m.t./year expansion of its Cedar Bayou normal alpha-olefins (NAO; also called linear alpha-olefins) plant in Baytown, TX, in July 2015. The company says its board has approved the project, which has already obtained the necessary environmental permit from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ)....
