Feedstocks were quiet, most rising a few pennies in line with higher oil and natural gas prices. Olefins were also quiet on both sides of the Atlantic. Aromatics, however, took no holiday. The U.S. July benzene contract settled with a decrease of 30 cts/gal, and the July mixed xylenes contract agreed to at an even greater decrease of 42 cts/gal.
