Brazil's domestic petchem sales up 2.46% in June–July

Petrochemical sales volume in Brazil was up 2.46% year-on-year (YOY) in June and July, according to Abiquim (São Paulo), the country's chemical industry association. Domestic sales figures were up 9.22% during the period compared with the same period last year. Baseline figures have not been provided. Petrochemical production increased 2.37% in July compared with June, lifting capacity utilization rates from 81% to 83% partially because of an improvement in demand, Abiquim says.
