Borouge Awards XLPE Contract to Hyundai Engineering

Borouge, a joint venture between Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. and Borealis, has awarded a $169-million contract o Hyundai Engineering & Construction (Seoul) to build Borouge's previously announced cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) compounding plant at Ruwais, Abu Dhabi. The unit will be designed for 80,000 m.t./year of XLPE compounds for low to high voltage energy cables.
