LG Chem and Versalis enter Europe with metallocene LLDPE

Versalis (Milan), the chemical subsidiary of ENI (Rome); and LG Chem (Seoul) today announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish a strategic alliance. The MOU, signed in Milan by LG Chem’s CEO Jin-Soo Park and Versalis CEO Daniele Ferrari, calls for the partnership to enter the European metallocene-based linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) market.   Under the terms of the deal, LG Chem will supply Versalis with metallocene LLDPE for sale in Europe.
