Qatar selects Univation and Dow technologies for Al Sejeel project

Qatar Petroleum (QP; Doha) and Qatar Petrochemical Co. (Qapco), joint venture partners in a major petrochemical project planned at Ras Laffan, Qatar, have selected technologies for the downstream units, the companies announced today. The project, dubbed Al Sejeel Petrochemical Project, will include a world-scale steam cracker and produce a combined 2.2 million m.t./year of polymers, including polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP).
