Uhde Inventa-Fischer Awarded Contract for PET Plant in Oman

Uhde Inventa-Fischer has been awarded a contract by Octal Petrochemicals (Muscat) to build a previously announced 550,000-m.t./year polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin plant at Salalah, Oman. The plant will consist of two production lines and be based on Uhde Inventa-Fischer technology. Further details were not disclosed but earlier reports said the plant would be onstream in 2011.
