Portuguese firm acquires La Seda's PET assets in Italy

 Selenis (Portalegre, Portugal) a subsidiary of Control PET (Santo Tirso, Portugal) has acquired Artenius Italia, the last remaining polyethylene terephthalate (PET)  production company of La Seda de Barcelona (El Prat de Llobregat, Spain), La Seda has announced. Selenis acquired the facility, located at San Giorgio di Nogaro, for €1 million ($1.34 million). The buyer will keep 30 staff, while covering redundancy costs for 75 other workers, La Seda says.
