Prices U.S.: 63 cts-65 cts/lb, November contracts Europe: €1,250-1,290/m.t., October contracts Outlook Demand in the global polyethylene terephthalate (PET) market was 42.9 million m.t. in 2006 and is projected to grow 4.9%/year to 2011, says SRI Consulting (SRIC; Menlo Park). Global PET polymer capacity is forecast to grow 2.9%/year during the same time period, however, SRIC says.
