Indorama to Boost European PET Capacity

Indorama Ventures (Bangkok) says it plans to expand polyethylene terephthalate (PET) capacity in Europe by 220,000 m.t./year. The company operates five plants throughout Europe, following a number of acquisitions in recent years, but it did not specify which plants would be expanded. “The expansion was motivated by the supply-demand dynamics within Europe and the need for competitive assets to improve service to customers,” Indorama says.
