Indorama to Boost European PET Capacity

Indorama Ventures (Bangkok) says it plans to expand polyethylene terephthalate (PET) capacity in Europe by 220,000 m.t./year. The company operates five plants throughout Europe, following a number of acquisitions in recent years, but it did not specify which plants would be expanded.   “The expansion was motivated by the supply-demand dynamics within Europe and the need for competitive assets to improve service to customers,” Indorama says.   The expansion will raise Indorama’s total PET capacity in Europe to about 1.3 million...
