Indian Oil to Double PTA Capacity; SBR Decision Soon

Indian Oil Corp. (IOC; New Delhi) expects to complete a detailed feasibility study in March 2010 to build a purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant next to the company’s Koyali refinery in the state of Gujarat, India, CW has learned. “We will go to the board for investment approval after that,” says S. Mitra, general manager/petrochemicals at IOC.
