Equipolymers to Sell Italian Operation to Indorama

Equipolymers (Horgen, Switzerland), a producer of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle resin jointly owned by Dow Chemical and Petrochemical Industries Co. (PIC; Safat, Kuwait), is in advanced negotiations to sell its Equipolymers Srl (Ottana, Italy) subsidiary to a group headed by Paolo Clivati, the owner of local energy provider Ottana Energia, supported by Indorama Polymers (Bangkok).
