DuPont Teijin Films to Shut Florence Facility

DuPont Teijin Films, a 50-50 global polyester films joint venture between Teijin and DuPont, says it will permanently shut its Florence, SC facility by the end of 2010. The facility employs about 210 people. The company says it plans to consolidate its polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film production in the U.S. at its Hopewell, VA site.
