DSM Ups Engineering Plastics Compounding Capacity in China by 50%

DSM says it will expand its engineering plastics compounding facility at Jiangyin, China by 50%. The company plans to bring the additional capacity on line towards the end of 2008. Specific production figures were not disclosed. DSM already doubled its total capacity for engineering plastics compounding when it first opened the site at Jiangyin in 2006. “Demand from our customers both in China and the rest of Asia has been growing rapidly and the planned increase will meet that demand for the next few years,” says Nico Gerardu, DSM's board member...
