Huntsman-Shanghai Chlor-alkali JV to double MDI splitting capacity

Huntsman Polyurethanes Shanghai, a joint venture between Huntsman and Shanghai Chlor-Alkali Chemical (SCAC), plans to double methylene di-para-phenylene isocyanate (MDI) splitting capacity of its facility in the Shanghai Chemical Industrial Park (SCIP). The expansion, which will begin operation in 2017, will increase the site’s MDI splitting capacity to 480,000 m.t./year, says Huntsman....
